Guemes Island CERT Featured in Anacortes American
CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) is a team of island volunteers who are prepared, if called upon by the Guemes Island fire chief, to respond to any disaster, man-made or natural, that the island experiences. A 72-hour survival kit, which can be grabbed in the event of an emergency evacuation, may contain items such as clothing, medications, a flashlight, multi-tool, medical kit, water, food and important documents.
