A Farewell Gift
Ernesto's presentation at the Community Center on April 26 focused on the paintings in the chapel at his pilgrims’ shelter in Guemes, Spain by Mino Cerezo de la Ermita. Ernesto emphasized the universal message of the paintings, the richness of the diversity of people who pass through the shelter, and the harmony between all peoples.
At the end of his presentation, Ernesto presented the community with a gift of 2 books - a guide of the Cantabria region of Spain, where his pilgrims' shelter is located and a book about the shelter. Barb Ohms, GICCA president, accepted the books on behalf of all islanders.
The books are on display in the Guemes Island Library and are available for check out.
